Barry Fowler
Worship and Youth
I've been working with music, teens and children for 20 years. In my pre-ministry days I taught and directed choirs in middle Tennessee, at Vol State Community College, Gallatin High School and Gallatin Middle School and taught voice lessons. Since 1990 I've been in full time ministry, splitting my time between youth ministry and worship ministry. I hold a Master's Degree in Music from Belmont University in Nashville and a Master of Divinity degree from Harding Graduate School of Religion here in Memphis.

When I came to Memphis in 1995 I had come to the conclusion that God intended me to be a bachelor for life. Then God introduced me to Liz. Liz ("Lizzie") and I married on November 2, 2002.

In addition to working with our teens at CCC and leading our worship, I am the "Comic Host" for KidZone, our family production (I don't understand what people are insinuating when they say this is a perfect fit for me.) I also oversee all the details for our Sunday morning worship times, lead an adult cell group on Thursday nights and fill some of the administrative roles at CCC. My passions are: Lizzie, getting all caught up in worshipping God, seeing teens develop in their spiritual walk with God, backpacking in the mountains, and watching Andy Griffith reruns.

Steve McLeod was born and raised in Savannah, GA, where he was first introduced to Small Groups. He has worked with churches in Georgia, California, and Tennessee, primarily in Small Groups and Singles Ministry. Steve has been blessed to work with small groups for 15 years, and has participated in several successful births of new groups. He has a passion for teaching others financial stewardship, and is a big fan of Dave Ramsey (some call him "Dave Jr."). He received the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Harding University Graduate School of Religion in Memphis, TN. He enjoys college football, and is a big fan of the University of Georgia Bulldogs (How 'Bout Them DAWGS!). He is single and still looking (Ladies, he's a real catch!). Contact him at his email below.

Mark Powell

Mark Powell
Preaching Minister
Since 2002 Mark has served as a professor of theology at Harding University Graduate School of Religion (www.hugsr.edu). He joined Cordova Community Church as a preaching minister in the summer of 2008. Mark is passionate about helping people grow as followers of Jesus through preaching and teaching God’s word, raising the next generation to love and serve God, and helping the church walk alongside the poor and vulnerable in our community. He and his wife Debbie have one daughter and two sons. Mark was raised in Conyers, Georgia and, like Steve McLeod, cheers for the Georgia Bulldogs during football season and the Memphis Tigers during basketball season. His hobbies include playing with his kids, cooking with his “backyard” barbeque team, watching NASCAR races, and running. He holds degrees from Lipscomb University, Emory University, and Southern Methodist University in ministry and contemporary theology.
