Information about In-Person Worship Gatherings at the YMCA

We are so excited that many of us will be able to gather in person this Sunday at the Y for worship. And we are happy that others will still be able to join us online via Zoom and our YouTube channel

Here is a rundown of what to expect, whether you are gathering at the Y or at home online.

    WHAT TO EXPECT (ZOOM)

If you are tuning in via Zoom, we are using the same meeting ID and Password. Email info@cordovachurch.org for Zoom information.

    • Log in to Zoom early for chit chat and fellowship from 9:10-9:25. (While those attending in person will be fellowshipping with each other, our Zoomers can also fellowship with one another).
    • We will begin worship at 9:30. All Zoomers will be muted at this point.
    • If you are a Zoomer who is leading prayer or sharing a prayer request, you will need to unmute yourself before you start talking and then mute yourself afterwards.

    WHAT TO EXPECT (In-Person)

    • We ask everyone to wear a mask
    • Each person should wash their hands on arrival.
    • If you are leading an in-person prayer, please walk up to the microphone. Anytime you are using the microphone, please stand close to the mic and continue wearing your mask
    • Please do not use your device to login to our steamed worship gathering via Zoom or Youtube while in the gym. Having multiple devices in the same room can cause terrible noise problems
    • After you have washed your hands, you can pick up your bread and juice for the Lord’s Supper, from the small table as you enter the gym. Please take the elements to your seat for use later in the service and dispose of the plastic containers after our worship time.

    • If you are able, we ask everyone to wipe down their chairs with paper towel disinfectant and stack up the chairs after worship.
    • CCC will not be serving any drinks.  If you want coffee, water, etc., please bring your own from home

    RSVP

If you haven’t already sent in your RSVP for worship at the Y, please fill out our RSVP Form letting us know you are going to join us at the Y, along with the names of others coming with you.  This will help us know how to set up the chairs in the gym and help us plan for our children’s classes.

    COMMUNION

    • The Communion elements are placed in small plastic containers with lids in a sanitary way.
    • After you have washed your hands, you can pick up your bread and juice for the Lord’s Supper, from the small table as you enter the gym.
    • Please take the elements to your seat for use later in the service and dispose of the plastic containers after our worship time.

    PRAYER REQUESTS

We won’t be passing around the Welcome Books. Instead you can make prayer requests during our “Share and Prayer” time after the sermon.

    SONG LYRICS

In addition to showing song lyrics on the screen.  We will also send out lyric sheets that you can print off (check your email and CCC’s Facebook Page)

    OFFERING

    • You can mail in your checks to the church office (2964 Ole Bartlett CRT, STE 5, Bartlett, TN 38134)
    • There are two online giving options you can find at https://www.cordovachurch.org/giving/
    • You now can also give by text on your phone. Text any dollar amount to (901) 612-2289
    • There will also be a stationary offering basket and giving envelopes on the table when you enter the gym. You can place your gifts in the basket when entering and exiting the gym

    STAY HOME IF

As excited as everyone is about coming back to the Y, please do not allow your longing for reunion to overrule the need to be wise.  Please worship with us from home if…

    • You are feeling unwell
    • You have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19
    • You have a new cough/shortness of breath/sore throat
    • You have had a fever in the last 48 hrs
    • You have had a new smell/taste loss
    • You have had vomiting or diarrhea in the last 24hrs
    • You are included in one of the many vulnerable categories (age, immunosuppressant, and other underlying conditions)

“Believe” is a spiritual growth experience that helps people of all ages Think, Act, and Be more like Jesus. It is great for anyone wishing to explore Jesus and Christianity as well as people who already follow Jesus. As you walk through the three big categories of Christian life—beliefs, practices, and virtues—you’ll learn what the Bible has to say about everything from the nature of God and the identity of Jesus, to prayer, worship, and the fruit of the Spirit.  This will be an experience for all ages: Sermons, Kids’ Classes, and Growth Groups (weekly small groups meeting in homes).

This series starts Sunday, April 11. Come join us and pick up your free resources! Cordova Community Church meets at the Cordova YMCA, 9:30 AM each Sunday.
